Approximately 90% of donations collected by the company is transmitted, through Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations connected to Provincial Administrations, to students in need on the lists drawn up by school administrators connected to the Ministry of National Education. In addition to Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations, help is transmitted to people in need through further institutions and establishments such as Police Departments, Army Commanderships, the Mehmetçik Foundation and the Deniz Feneri/Lighthouse Social Assistance and Solidarity Association.
In 2007, 60.000 poor children, determined with the mediation of National Education Directorates, were provided with clothes in the festival of Ramadan through the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation. In the 2007-2008 academic year, 2300 orphaned and poor children, determined by school administrators, continue to be provided with 150 YTL education support.
250.000 YTL was donated to the Mehmetçik Foundation in 2007 to be distributed to families of martyrs.
In 2007, in line with the “Sevgi Evleri/Homes of Love” campaign carried out by the Malatya Governorship, a villa was built and donated to the Society for the Protection of Children.
In addition to these donations, our company inspects inferior goods unsuitable for sale in our stores in order to make them usable and distributes them to people in need especially in remote rural areas with the mediation of Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations, Police Departments and Army Commanderships. Within the scope of this project, approximately 700.000 items were distributed in 2006 and 270.000 items have been distributed in 2007 and continue to be distributed.
